Tecma is the PRIME CONSULTANT on this $30 million project.

Project consists of:

              
 
  • Removal of a 3-span bridge on closed abutments.
      
 
  • Removal of a 6-span bridge on spill through abutments.
    
 
  • Construction of a 2-span bridge with 48" plate girders over Lake Decatur.
  
 
  • Construction of a 3-span bridge with 48" plate girders over lake Decatur.
  
 
  • Construction of new 4 lane PCC pavement and bike path.
    
   
                 

Project Challenges:

              
 
  • Extensive coordination with the City of Decatur, Corps of Engineers, and IEPA.
 
  • Working in and around lake Decatur.
        
 
  • Coordination with the residents for access during construction.
